Making Better Laws
One of the Department of Attorney General and Justice's most important roles is to continually monitor the effectiveness of the many laws which regulate life in NSW.
Within the Department, there is a group of specialist agencies which focus on reviewing and reforming the law. These agencies advise the Attorney General on justice issues and the capacity of existing laws to respond to these issues. They also provide statistics, conduct research, develop legislative reforms, provide education and undertake consultation with communities around the State.
You can click on the names of the agencies below to find out more about their activities and the role they play in our ongoing work to make better laws.
