Access to information
As independent statutory bodies, the Professional Standards Councils are committed to meeting our obligations under the freedom of information legislation that exists in each state and territory.
The Professional Standards Authority is the national regulatory support agency for the Professional Standards Councils. The Authority is a business unit within the Fair Trading and Regulatory Services Division of the New South Wales Department of Customer Service (DCS). DCS is the parent agency for the purposes of the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 and is responsible for publishing and maintaining open access information for the Authority. The information available from the DCS website includes:
- agency information guide
- policy documents
- disclosure log
- register of government contracts
- major assets, acquisitions and disposals
- advertising compliance certificates
- information about grants administration.
Requesting information
If you would like to access information that is not available on our website, or the DCS website, please contact us. We will then be able to advise you whether the information you are seeking is publicly available or otherwise able to be released to you through an informal request. If the information you are seeking is not routinely provided on request, then you have a right to formally apply for access to specific information under the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009.
